Talk Truths
In those days many were slaves and these were commanded to be obedient to their masters.vs.9-10Titus 2:9-10XWaiting for response All these disciples, whatever their station in life, were recipients of God’s favour and salvation through the gospel v.11Titus 2:11XWaiting for response which taught them to eschew ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live righteously and godly in this present age v.12Titus 2:12XWaiting for response while looking in anticipation for the the glorious appearing of Jesus.v.13Titus 2:13XWaiting for response
The application of the title “God” to Jesus is consistent with the rest of scripture which tells us that Jesus will return to the earth as “a mighty one” and a manifestation of the one true God. This is in contrast to his weakness when, alone upon the cross, he permitted himself to be murdered by wicked men, giving “himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a special people, zealous of good works”.
