A single writing cannot fully capture the expanse of Jesus Christ’s life and purpose. This study focuses on key scriptural truths regarding his identity, mission, and glorious qualities as revealed in the Bible. Because the true knowledge of Jesus is vital for salvation, this writing outlines the foundational beliefs and ongoing obedience required for eternal life.

It is only by Jesus that any of us can be saved from mortality. The Christ is a person anointed to be king of Israel. People need to believe the truth that Jesus is the Christ in order to be saved. Jesus himself said how important it is to believe him:
Whosoever believeth in him [Jesus] should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Death was put upon people because of sin. Under the law of Moses, the people of Israel had priests. Jesus claimed to be the king of the Jews who would reign over their kingdom forever, as promised, but this has not happened. The Jews have not even had a kingdom since the time he walked the earth. The apostles confirmed Jesus would reign over all their enemies but the Jews have many enemies. People are dying but the apostle Paul says when Christ returns the chosen who are dead will be resurrected to eternal life and those who are alive will live forever with Christ. The salvation promised through all these things is in the future. But there is a time when they will happen. There is a time when Jesus will return to the earth and these things will be current. Faith will no longer be required then because they will be present. Faith, or belief, that these things will happen is required now though.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

To be saved, people not only have to believe that Jesus is the Christ, they also have to do as Jesus commands. There are many commandments of Jesus. Jesus and the apostles put emphasis on them throughout the New Testament.
He that saith he abideth in him [Jesus] ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

This writing does not focus on the commandments of Jesus. Do not be deceived, they are required though, just as Jesus says those who do not do them will not enter into his kingdom (Matthew 25). One commandment that I will write about is to remember Jesus by the bread and the wine. This is a memorial instituted by Jesus so that the future generations would remember him (Matthew 26:26-28,Matthew 26:26-28XWaiting for response 1 Corinthians 11:23-32).1 Corinthians 11:23-32XWaiting for response He asks that people would break bread and drink some wine, which each have symbolic meaning.
The broken bread represents Jesus' body broken for sin and the wine represents his blood shed for the new covenant established between God and Jesus. This new covenant is the promises that are made to us through Jesus, the ones written earlier in this study! It was done because the Old Testament was written when the people were under the old testament/covenant, and the New Testament was written when there was a new testament/covenant.
The commandment to remember Jesus is so important that Jesus says those who do it will be saved (John 6:53-54).John 6:53-54XWaiting for response To remember Jesus properly, one has to know and believe Jesus. To know Jesus and believe that he is Christ one has to know the things written in the Bible as this is our connection to knowledge of God and Jesus. When someone who knows Jesus does this commandment, they are reminded about Jesus and reminded to do as he commands. So of course Jesus says those who do it will be saved. It is impossible for a person to truly follow this command but not follow and believe him. Those who do remember Jesus in truth will be saved.
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Messiah is the English word for the Hebrew word meaning anointed, whereas Christ is the English word for the Greek word meaning anointed.
