< Psalms 98 >

Psalm 98 exhorts the saints to sing a new song.v.1Waiting for response for Psalms 98:1 The promise of God is that the faithful will sing a new song at the return of Jesus, when they are given eternal life to live and reign with him in the kingdom of God. The Psalm speaks of that glorious time when victory is gained over sin and all the enemies of the LORD: “for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand (the Lord Jesus Christ), and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen”.vs.1-2Waiting for response for Psalms 98:1-2 God will do this because of the promises he made to the fathers of Israel v.3Waiting for response for Psalms 98:3 and when they are fulfilled in the land all the people of the world will see it.v.3Waiting for response for Psalms 98:3 All the world is called upon to praise the LORD,vs.4-9Waiting for response for Psalms 98:4-9 and we can do so now, looking forward to the glorious future for “he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity”.v.9Waiting for response for Psalms 98:9
