Verses 1-2

Waiting for response for Psalms 41:1-2

Those who observe God’s instructions will be greatly blessed: they will be delivered from all trouble,v.1Waiting for response for Psalms 41:1 kept alive for ever,v.2Waiting for response for Psalms 41:2 and blessed upon the earth v.2Waiting for response for Psalms 41:2 when the kingdom of God is re-established and they live and reign with Christ.

Verses 7-12

Jesus himself was perfectly obedient to God but he was severely persecuted by men.v.7Waiting for response for Psalms 41:7 His contemporaries desired his death, and when they accomplished it they thought he was finished.v.8Waiting for response for Psalms 41:8 Jesus’ anguish was greatly increased by the fact that he was betrayed by his “familiar friend”.v.9Waiting for response for Psalms 41:9 A number of Old Testament scriptures foretold that Jesus would be betrayed to death by a close companion, so he knew in advance the role of Judas Iscariot in bringing about his crucifixion. But he also knew that God would “raise him up” from the dead v.10Waiting for response for Psalms 41:10 so that his enemies would not triumph over him,v.11Waiting for response for Psalms 41:11 and that he would live for ever before the LORD.v.12Waiting for response for Psalms 41:12
