With Jesus output from his mouth (spit / word) and his hand upon us we are saved, just as the blind man was. The blind man's healing was in two stages, firstly he saw vaguely and then properly. This is symbolic for people's learning of the truth, it is at first seen vaguely with some idea of the truth, and then it is seen properly.

Mark 8:19-20XWaiting for responseThe original words translated baskets is different in these two verses. In verse 19 it seems to be more of a backpack which is a personal item. There were 12 backpacks and 12 apostles so this could symbolise them receiving the word and taking it with them. In verse 20 it seems to be a hamper where they may have taken the seven hampers to seven different places, which could symbolise them preaching the word completely.
