Thereafter, Britain was granted the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, protected it from the Nazis in the second world war, and administered it until the State of Israel was established in 1948. Guided by God’s word, we can also look for Britain being the first nation to respond to Christ’s call to return all Jews to the land.
