God is longsuffering but when man’s iniquity becomes full he executes his righteous judgment upon them Genesis 15:16.Waiting for response for Genesis 15:16 His main purpose, however, is to deliver the righteous. The events recorded in this chapter provide a dramatic illustration of this in the destruction of the inhabitants of wicked cities but the deliverance of the righteous therein.
