This was at the end of the fortieth year of wandering in the wilderness just before the people crossed the river Jordan into the Promised Land Deuteronomy 1:1.Waiting for response for Deuteronomy 1:1 Moses himself was not permitted to enter the land but died on mount Nebo on the eastern side of the river before Joshua took Israel into the Promised Land.
